Utility Trenching done right in The Viewpoint

We trench to the depth the utility and code require, work through rock and caliche with the right machine and teeth, bed and backfill so the line is protected, and compact the trench so you are not left with a sinking scar across the lot.

Water, well, electric, and septic lines run to depth, protected, backfilled, and compacted, with the ground put back the way it should be.

Why DB Excavation

Site work builders can
schedule around

Crews and GCs lean on us because the pad comes in to grade, the schedule holds, and the work passes inspection. No surprises on the job site.

01Built to spec, to grade

Pads and grades cut to plan, compacted, and finished so the slab goes down clean and the work passes inspection.

02Local ground knowledge

Decomposed granite, rock shelves, sloped lots, and monsoon runoff. We know how Quad Cities ground behaves and grade for it.

03Equipment for the job

A full fleet of excavators, loaders, and attachments to handle rock, slope, and scale, from a single pad to a full site.

04Licensed, insured, dependable

Fully licensed under AZ ROC #359583 and insured, with realistic schedules and clear communication start to finish.

The ground in The Viewpoint

We trench your service to code depth through the caliche and compact the backfill flush, even working next to finished pavement and curb.

The Viewpoint sits on rolling grassland in Prescott Valley, with wide views of Granite Mountain, Mingus, and Glassford Hill. The lots run smaller and closer together here than out on the rural acreage, and the ground rolls gently rather than lying flat. It is tidy ground, and the site work is expected to match.

The lots here sit on rolling decomposed-granite grassland with caliche underneath and the usual valley-floor clay in the lower pockets. Grades are moderate, so drainage across a smaller lot has to be handled precisely to keep water off the pad and out of the neighbor's yard. Trenching still means breaking caliche, even on a finished, platted street.

On a compact lot with houses close on either side, there is no slack. Water that leaves your pad wrong lands on someone next door. A licensed contractor keeps your grade tight and your drainage contained, so your work sits right against finished lots on either side.
