In Spring Valley the decomposed granite and caliche run over granite ledge, and the caliche sits shallow, so a guess at rock depth is usually wrong, and we dig the tank and field to what the ground gives and grade runoff off the lines.
Spring Valley sits in the high-desert chaparral along the I-17 corridor near Mayer, where residential lots spread out across rolling ground between the highway and the Bradshaw foothills. This is acreage country, so a lot here usually starts as raw dirt with a long approach off the county road and views a buyer paid for and wants kept.
